Named after Suffolk County resident and Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Department, John P. Cohalan Jr., the Cohalan Courthouse in Central Islip is a multi-winged building, completed in 1992.  It is a focal point of legal proceedings for Suffolk County residents.
